Nephi's
[edit]I still object to the move, but I've started that discussion on the original Nephi talk page.
What I'm bringing up here is the Nephi's that are listed. I may be wrong about the reading, but here is the lineage, around the time of the visit of Christ, as I understand it:
- Helaman: Author of the Book of Helaman.
- Nephi: His son who's account is told at the end of above book. He preached to and baptized many. After he instructed his son in taking care of the plates, he departed and wasn't heard from again.
- Nephi: Nephi's son who wrote the Third Book of Nephi. This is the Nephi who became the disciple of Christ. (This is in the full title of the book.)
- Nephi: Nephi's son who wrote the Fourth Book of Nephi. (This is in the full title of the book.) Not much is written about him. But since one of the books is named after him (even though it is just one chapter), I wouldn't call him a "minor figure".
- Amos: Nephi's son who only has two verses about him. He also kept the plates, and this should be said about him.
- Amos: Amos' son who only has two verses about him, one shared with his father. He also kept the plates.
- Amarron: Amos' brother who only has three verses about him. He also kept the plates and hid them.
This is who took care of the plates in the accounts in the Third and Fourth books of Nephi(s). Unless someone objects within the next few days, I'm going to make the revisions to the article accordingly. Val42 18:16, September 3, 2005 (UTC)
