Are you sure he weighs 225 kg and not 225 lbs.? Jackjackjackjackjack (talk) 02:18, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how to add pictures

[edit]

I don't know how to add pictures but here's a picture of Yoshi Tatsu's Entrance http://www.flickr.com/photos/kittiesurprise/3795114107/

Unfortunately, that image is copyrighted and cannot be uploaded to wikimedia commons. It is tagged with "All rights reserved" which is not compatible with commons licensing policy. ♥NiciVampireHeart21:21, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm, scratch that. The image was uploaded and permission sent to WP:OTRS. ♥NiciVampireHeart21:24, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Naofumi Yamamoto

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Naofumi Yamamoto's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "WWE Bio":

  • From Rey Mysterio, Jr.: "Rey Mysterio Bio". World Wrestling Entertainment. Retrieved 2009-04-14.
  • From Mark Henry: "Mark Henry Bio". World Wrestling Entertainment. Retrieved 2009-06-30.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 00:06, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Change Naofumi Yamamoto to Yoshi Tatsu?

[edit]

Question, can we change Naofumi into Yoshi Tatsu? I figured it needs changing because he is known as Yoshi.--Mikeymike2001 (talk) 00:00, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Ron Killings which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RM bot 03:30, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Move?

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the proposal was moved. Apparently, from the arguments below, that's the name people will be looking for, so per WP:COMMONNAME. --regentspark (comment) 13:09, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Naofumi YamamotoYoshi Tatsu

I agree to this, time to move this to Yoshi Tatsu.--Mikeymike2001 (talk) 18:23, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - he's spent most of his career using some variation of his real name and has been primarily a low card wrestler in WWE. He's also likely to go back using his real name if and when he leaves WWE. --Jtalledo (talk) 20:26, 10 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - Per Rationale provided by User:Jtalledo above - sans the speculation at the end. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ 02:38, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Move - Per common sense. When people look up Tatsu on Wikipedia, they aren't looking for his early life in Japan or wherever he's from, no. They're looking for his WWE career, where he is know as Yoshi Tatsu. Now tell me, if I asked anyone who Naofumi Yamamoto was, they wouldn't have a clue. On the other hand, any good wrestling fan would know who Tatsu was. And Jtalledo, WP:CRYSTAL applies here, "He's also likely to go back using his real name if and when he leaves WWE" is a guess, and if guessing were allowed here on Wikipedia there would be articles saying that John Morrison might win the Royal Rumble next year. Think about it, who is Naofumi Yamamoto? Come on guys!--Deely1 03:21, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
WP:CRYSTAL does not apply here. Crystal applies to content of articles, not article naming decisions. --Jtalledo (talk) 03:49, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The possibility of Tatsu using his real name in the ring after WWE is content...--Deely1 04:23, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Likewise, while the latter end of his argument is speculatory, in all fairness, your argument is based on personal perspective. In example, "Any good wrestling fan..." is a clear statement of pov - thereby anyone not knowing who Yoshi Tatsu was (and lets be realistic, Tyler Reks gets more screen time than Yoshi Tatsu) lacks "common sense" and isn't a "good wrestling fan" per your rationale. You see where the problems lie? ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ 07:28, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The thing is, we need to be realistic here. Nobody knows Tatsu as Naofumi, and you don't need to source that.--Deely1 11:38, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Quite the contrary.... Saying nobody knows is the definition of a weasel word. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ 18:24, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to stop taking place in this pointless argument. But please enlighten me, and tell me, how other articles, like Zack Ryder, Tyler Reks, and Wade Barrett, to name a few, feature the wrestler's name as the title of the article, when they are only low and middle-card wrestlers, just like Tatsu, and have been in the company for about the same amount of time as his too. Why don't you go to their articles and propose a move to their real names too?--Deely1 20:18, 12 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not only is that entirely apples & oranges, but it is almost the exact definition of WP:ALLORNOTHING - sans the deletion discussion. I'm merely pointing out facts. Your statements, as they are worded, go against policy. That fact does not render an argument pointless, only non-conducive to what you have presented... unless it is your personal opinion that it is pointless - as of which I am forced to inquire, why even make the argument in the first place? ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ 03:20, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly, tell me how on earth that's oranges and apples. What is it that makes Tatsu an apple, and all the others an orange, may I ask? And secondly, WP:ALLORNOTHING is an essay, not a policy, and it is about deletions, not moves, as seen in the example shown. I'm merely pointing out facts. Now tell me, what policy goes against my statements? Because the only "guideline" you've brought up was an essay. Now I'm sorry, but you were the one that started up the argument in the first place, answering to my vote/answer to User:Jtalledo. Now if you really want to answer to this please do, but in my personal opinion, this argument is pointless and counter-productive so if not, just let it be yeah? That's all.--Deely1 14:18, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support move to Yoshi Tatsu. Clearly the common name, and this doesn't even seem to be disputed. If in fact he's spent most of his career using some variation of his real name and has been primarily a low card wrestler in WWE that seems to just add weight to the overwhelming and unanswered Google stats (but also recommend reading WP:BLP). I see no reason at all why WP:CRYSTAL should not apply; It does not specifically list article titles, true, but nor does it exclude them, and the list is explicitly In particular, implying that there are other matters the guideline covers, and this seems to be one of them. IMO this is fatal to the oppose arguments above. Andrewa (talk) 18:28, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • I don't buy the argument that WP:CRYSTAL applies for article names at all. You're getting content guidelines (e.g. claims made within the article) confused with editorial decisions (e.g. article names). We don't apply content guidelines like Crystal for editorial decisions any more than we apply WP:POV for such decisions either. Points of view and speculation about the future are commonly used when making editorial decisions, otherwise no decisions would be made. --Jtalledo (talk) 01:56, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
      • Noted that you don't think that WP:CRYSTAL applies, and also that others do. No, I'm not confusing these at all, and please comment on the content, not on the contributor, and note that content here means far more than article content. Disagree completely with the last sentence; Editors are strongly urged to avoid using Wikipedia to publish or promote a POV or personal speculation, by whatever means. And decisions are regularly made by editors who support and abide by this restriction. Andrewa (talk) 12:25, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
        • Not a personal attack, I was merely making an observation based on your previous comment. If you interpreted it as an attack, I apologize. I see I was incorrect however. We merely have different interpretations of Wikipedia policies. And duh, I know about NPOV and crystal, but that doesn't mean we can't state our own opinions and I've stated mine clearly. It is my opinion that this article shouldn't move to Yoshi Tatsu since the wrestler in question uses the other name professionally. It is reasonable assumption that he would go back to using the other name professionally should he leave WWE, but my main point is that his given name can also arguably be his common name. --Jtalledo (talk) 23:09, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
          • Your opinions seem anything but clear to me. For example since the wrestler in question uses the other name professionally... That seems to indicate that he uses both names, so what is the substance of this argument? It is a reasonable assumption that he would go back to using the other name professionally should he leave WWE... Reasonable to whom? It's speculation. How is that not a violation of WP:CRYSTAL? ...my main point is that his given name can also arguably be his common name... Is that really the best argument? ...arguably... Doesn't that mean that it may go either way? ...also... Doesn't that mean that it may go either way? With such severe qualifications, the logical weight of such an argument is nill. It is pure rhetoric. Andrewa (talk) 18:50, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Santoshi

[edit]

He apparently is now in a tag team with Santino called "Santoshi".

wrong date
