Mont St. Sauveur is not in Quebec City

[edit]

Under Locations, Canada, Mont St. Sauveur is NOT in Quebec City - it is in the Laurentian Mountains north of Montreal - nowhere near Quebec City. Please correct. Tony (talk) 14:59, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not all alpine coasters can operated in all wether. The monorail system dont work if it is wet!

Ims is no more the longest one. I think, it is now the Tobotronc (naturlandia, Andorra): 3600m downhill and 1600m uphill. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.187.106.39 (talkcontribs)

Merge 'Mountain coaster' and 'Alpine slide'

[edit]

I am suggesting that Alpine slide is merged into this page, with appropriate redirects.

They cover very similar subject matter, the subtle difference being the type of track and sleds used. Their history is similar, with one main manufacturer (Wiegand) producing and involved in the history of both. The description of their operation and ride experience is also very similar. The differences between the two types could be explained in the introduction and then distinguished where necessary in the remaining text.

The list of installations (in both articles) would benefit from formatting as a table, verification and references. This could be split out into a separate list page in the format of de:Liste_von_Sommerrodelbahnen.
