Legacy/cult following

Please add john madden into the article https://ftw.usatoday.com/2022/08/madden-23-captures-john-maddens-legacy — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.6.8.36 (talk) 03:50, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Moonbase Alpha is notable for it's cult following. primarily because of the unrealistic, deadpan text-to-speech voice implemented in it instead of a microphone function, just search "Moonbase Alpha" on Youtube to see what i mean. This should be noted on the article. 66.59.49.88 (talk) 17:32, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's not notable until reliable sources write about it. YouTube views aren't valid. —LOL T/C 17:49, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Is Know your Meme a reliable source? 72.197.35.238 (talk) 03:15, 6 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If they upload a video about it on their YouTube channel, then I'm not sure, but the page you linked definitely won't work because it states that the meme's status is just a "Submission". —LOL T/C 17:37, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Moonbase Alpha [...] provides a realistic simulation of life on a natural satellite" Heh. 83.250.57.157 (talk) 15:27, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notable features: uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

[edit]

I'll go ahead and say what everyone in the section above was trying to say; we, the internet, only know of this games existence because of silly cunts spamming erberberberberberb and random sounds to flood the chat channel with text-to-speech nonsense. That is all. That is the games ENTIRE accumulative purpose in the eyes of the world. People don't even play it as far as we know, I demand citations and proof otherwise. :b

Seriously though, the text-to-speech spamming is it's MOST NOTABLE FEATURE globally and doesn't have a single uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu in the main article? BaSH PR0MPT (talk) 04:24, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Restrictive notability and citation guidelines still hasn't kept schoolteachers from banning Wiki. TVTropes is where you'd find something fun like that. Encyclopedic pretty much means "No fun allowed". I doubt Wikipedia itself would have been notable in its first few months. Anyways, the intro saying "Moonbase Alpha...provides a realistic simulation of life on a natural satellite" is good enough for me :D 8ty3hree (talk) 20:51, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
