Table needed
[edit]Please put this list into a table arranged by: Country / City / Name of Memorial & Museum. -- It is impossible to make sense of as an alphabetical list by Name. Thank you! Merci ! Charvex (talk) 04:50, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
I also think that the current alphabetically format list is not helpful. But given the many forms of memorials, this has to be organized into separate pages by country. Some country pages will require various classifications and subdivisions. For example Israel's page on publically-sponsored (without including the many individually sponsored) Holocaust memorials will be huge and diverse... Yohananw (talk) 17:50, 11 July 2015 (UTC)

Clean out of page needed
[edit]I believe this page needs a thorough sort out. There are many entries on this page which are simply WWII memorial sites etc and which have nothing to do with the Holocaust or Holocaust memorials. The French section is notable in this manner as it contains many links to local Liberation museums whch have only a tangential connection to the Holocaust. For this page to have value it needs to be more focussed. I am proposing to write a more useful definition of a Holcoaust museum and then to remove a lot of references that cannot be deemed Holocaust museum links. I would appreciate your thoughts before I start on this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ivan007 (talk • contribs) 11:15, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
French Resistance memorials
[edit]Most of the items listed under France are more specifically French Resistance museums and memorials. French Resistance and Holocaust memorials, while related under the same larger topic area of World War II, are clearly distinct and separately noteworthy topics, so I'm going to move the French Resistance listings that are not primarily Holocaust museum or memorials to the French Resistance museums and memorials page that currently redirects here. -- Chefallen (talk) 22:17, 9 June 2020 (UTC)
Thank you so much for sorting that out - much better Ivanpope (talk) 18:08, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

Appropriate lead image
[edit]Should this article have a lead image that represents the topic (i.e is a Holocaust memorial and/or museum)? If so, which one would be a representative choice? (t · c) buidhe 00:40, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
- The Holocaust sidebar is appropriate for the articles directly related to this topic. It makes far more sense to have a sidebar that represents the topic overall, and indicating how it is part of a much larger group of related articles, rather than one very specific image, with little context, and frankly related to a somewhat obscure example, at the top of the article. I have no objection to the picture per se; it can be placed in the body of the article with the listings of memorials for the country to which it belongs. --Chefallen (talk) 00:59, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
- Also, who is to say that that is the picture that represents the topic? Clearly any picture of a holocaust memorial could fit the bill. Do you really want to get into that? --Chefallen (talk) 01:00, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
If we write about the Holocaust, we should inform about memorials of Jewish vicitms. If we inform about Nazi crimes in general, we should rename this page. Xx236 (talk) 06:11, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- The List of French Resistance museums and memorials is a different subject. Either we add all such lists or we remove this one.
- Eckerwald Memorial does not inform about Jewish victims. Xx236 (talk) 06:27, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
