The school's name

[edit]

From current, internal and external use: "Ecole des Mines de Paris" as official short name,"Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris" as official long name, "Mines Paris" as new logo. ENSMP is the old acronym, not much in official use currently. Other names such as "Ecole des Mines" (without " de Paris") also in use, and "les Mines" ("the Mines") colloquially. In contemporary French only the first word's initial of an institutional name is capitalized (and also "Paris" here, since it's a city). But all initials can be capitalized in English. 194.214.158.221 16:11, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
