Why has Zoe removed the link to Washington?

This guy was actually a Star Trek fan, but hardly anyone knew. He joined in the chats, before his adventure and talked to a fan or two there. He did an honorary thing, being happy and doing what he loved, before his departure of this plane. It's sad that things about his life, he kept secret and a lot didn't know. The show was his inspiration for joining Nasa, but the military was inspired by his own father. May he forever rest in peace and spiritually be able to travel the stars to infinity and beyond, to enjoy the unknown planes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1000:BF08:2BC6:91A1:D263:E66A:8AA (talk) 03:31, 1 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Philip vs. Phillip

[edit]

I might be wrong, but wasn't his name Michael Philip Anderson? Regards, Tom --84.137.66.11 18:54, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

His second name was indeed Philip, see [1]. I moved the page to the correct name. --myself488 (talk) 10:09, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Purple Heart

[edit]

Since the Purple Heart is awarded for actions in a conflict, I was surprised to see it in Brown's bio. So I looked for an indication (other than the four other Columbia astronauts wikipedia biographies) that the Columbia crewmembers had been awarded the medal. I didn't find any, and since they don't actually meet the legal criteria for the award, I'm removing it from all five biographies.

Style Editing

The section "Spaceflight experience" could use some refinement. I've found this page to be a useful source of guidance: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Words_to_watch 24.16.205.177 (talk) 01:06, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Family

[edit]

In the “Early life and career” section, it states that Anderson is an only child, while the “Personal Life” section says he has 3 sisters. Which is correct? AshCat (talk) 01:24, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
