Naming the man
[edit]There is more than one spelling of the man's name; a standard version should be used throughout. Preferably the one used as the title of the article. I will not change it in case I am mistaken. Also the word 'Maulana' seems to be a title, which is confusing to readers outside Pakistan, and needs to be explained. At first it appears to be a name of a new person being discussed. Since there are no references, I will begin by adding one explaining 'Maulana', which other editors will be able to improve upon. --Greenmaven (talk) 08:18, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
- Dear Greenmaven, thanks for your comments. Given that "Maulana" is no longer used in the article (which I edited as per Wikipedia WP:MOSISLAM guidelines), there's no need to provide an explanation. The spelling of the writer's name as Hifz-ur-Rehman is an eminently acceptable English transliteration (others would be equally acceptable, but let's stick to one). Best wishes.GorgeCustersSabre (talk) 13:39, 1 June 2012 (UTC)
- That's fine with me. Just trying to help with consistency. --Greenmaven (talk) 04:33, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
