Nit to pick
[edit]First paragraph says he is 'owner' of ABC5, Smart, etc. He is not 'owner' but chairman and/or CEO. These companies are controlled by publicly traded parent companies and holding firms, which are in turn controlled by First Pacific, which is controlled by the Salim family. MVP is CEO of First Pacific, but he is not the owner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 111.240.164.135 (talk) 14:18, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
This is regarding the thumbnail summary of Manuel Pangilinan listing his son as 'Anthoni Salim'. This is erroneous. Mr. Pangilinan has no son. I am guessing this stems from a misinterpretation of the original entry which read:
In Hong Kong, Pangilinan co-founded First Pacific in 1981 with Sudono Salim/Liem Sioe Liong and his son, Anthoni Salim.
I have since amended it to read:
In Hong Kong, Pangilinan co-founded First Pacific in 1981 with Sudono Salim a.k.a. Liem Sioe Liong and Sudono Salim's son, Anthoni Salim.
Pangilinan
[edit]Is he related to Kiko Pangilinan, the senator?--Jondel 11:25, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
yes he is>>i add something missing ok??halil
I am amazed how Mr. Pangilinan forgive those stupid staff that humiliated and mess up his name. I know for sure that he has nothing to do with the Ateneo Graduation Speech. He has his staff responsible for the speech composition. Being the Boss, he gave his full trust to his people knowing that they will take their job seriously. Despite the mess, he acknowledged full responsibility. A move worth of an inspiration to others that being at the top and with all the world in your hands, keeping your feet on the ground and being humble should be your most priceless asset. A character of a true Gentleman. = alex
