Fixing Vandalism

I might not have caught all the "hoes" and "bitches" someone interjected through the article but I cleaned up as much as I could. cheers! Duende-Poetry (talk) 16:19, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

Time lock

There is no 'time lock' article on Wikipedia?

The wooden lock

The description on this page of the wooden lock as used in Egypt is horribly confusing. I'm not familiar with the device, and after reading the section that describes it, I have absolutely no clue how it works. Someone who understands the lock should try to revise that section, although perhaps it is not possible to satisfactorily describe it without the aid of pictures.

Lock and key

The biological phrase "lock and key" re-directs here. That's ridiculous. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.109.220.6 (talk) 00:28, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

RFID

Can RFID be mentioned a bit more in depth. The article focuses too much on traditional keys and locks.

Also mentioned keycodes, radiosignals and keycards in header

Cages

Something should be here for locking cages —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bigjman123 (talkcontribs) 01:54, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

A lock as a symbol?

I think there should be a section on the lock as a symbol, sometimes representing encryption or "uneditable" such as pages in Wikipedia that are uneditible. Jasonxu98 (talk) 22:52, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

Images

The images from wapcaplet (see here should be included to the article. 91.182.11.33 (talk) 08:53, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

About warded lock

I have deleted this sentence:

Next, the warded lock was invented in China.[citation needed] In the Middle Ages, it came to Europe.

It is false. Numerous ancient findings of roman period are present in museums around Europe.

Only an example here: Bronzi antichi del Museo archeologico di Padova

Di Girolamo Zampieri,Padua (Italy). Museo archeologico p.185 ss There are numerous examples of I-II centuries CE.

The newly-created {{Locksmithing}} needs some help. There are a lot of gaps in the article content of Wikipedia on locks and keys. In addition, many of the articles can be merged (and some split) to make the subject matter more clear. Have a look. StevePrutz (talk) 22:07, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Copy-editing

This article has been copy-edited as part of the April Blitz. Efforts have been made to provide additional citations and clarify content, but further expansion by relevant experts is needed. --Mhbeals (talk) 22:43, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
