Notable residents
[edit]In creating this article from the generic list that existed earlier, I did not include people who merely attended one of the colleges/universities in the area or have only worked in offices in this borough. Neither of those two quite makes them one of the "people from Southwark". For example, Bill Clinton studied at Oxford Univesity, but he won't be considered a representative/resident of Oxford. Similarly, someone like Hugh Grant, who works often in the US but has never owned/rented a home or lived substantially there, would not be associated with an American city/state. Prior to his move to the West Midlands, his shop, like most of his other addresses were however in Peckham.
