Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on List of mergers and acquisitions by Symantec. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. [edit]

The article appears to have 70+ broken links to Thomson Reuters acquisition reports at alacrastore.com. However, in each case it appears that the archive link still works (with some errors). In a case like this, should we remove the broken link and make the archive link the primary one? Or should I try to find new sources? I was hoping to address the tag at the top of the article regarding broken and outdated links by doing some mundane work finding working links, etc.. I am affiliated with Symantec.

Pinging @Gary:, who brought this page up to FA. Best regards. CorporateM (Talk) 15:39, 24 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

SSL

[edit]

Led here from this Serverfault [Answer 2], to see if the largest SSL company really owned its competitors Geotrust and VeriSign and Thawte, which is creepy, this page lists VeriSign but not the other two.

The wikis for each confirm it does:

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Thawte

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/GeoTrust

Is there some special reason these aren't included ? I hesitate to add in case there is. Claverhouse (talk) 07:55, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
