Requested move:List of Pocket Monsters: Best Wishes! Season 2 episodes to List of Pocket Monsters: Best Wishes! episodes

[edit]

Hello it is the real name. Don't Season 1.--Principal adjoint (talk) 20:32, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No. You're wrong. Stop requesting a move. The official name of this half of the series contains "Season 2". Stop requesting page moves.—Ryulong (琉竜) 20:42, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No stop! It's still 50/50. There 's no consensus. So the procedure is not stopped.--Principal adjoint (talk) 20:49, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You are incorrect in your assumption as to what the proper title is. The official name of these episodes in Japan is "Best Wishes! Season 2". It does not matter that there was no "Best Wishes! Season 1" and it was just "Best Wishes!". These are officially "Season 2".—Ryulong (琉竜) 20:51, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ryulong has already tried to explain it, so I won't. Your page moves are incorrect and therefore will be considered edit warring if you persist. You will be blocked if you keep this up. Since you're so consensus driven, consensus overrules you.—cyberpower ChatOffline 20:58, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rival Destinies continuity

[edit]

Cartoon Network's official website has confirmed that the episode scheduled for October 27, 'All for the Love of Meloetta!', will be 37th episode of Rival Destinies a.k.a the 15th season. So either this article should be merged with this one until the official announcement of the 16th season, or only the said episode should be removed from this one and added to the correct article. In a nutshell, the 15th season doesn't end with "Rocking the Virbank Gym! (Part 2)". ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 08:59, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

When the time comes we'll figure that out. We still have 2 weeks.—Ryulong (琉竜) 09:07, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings! I don't know if will continue Rival Destinies or will be the new series, but the official title of the next episode is "All for the Love of Meloetta!"... and it should be in October 27! New season 16 in 2013 on Cartoon Network

[edit]

New title is: Pokémon: BW Adventures in Unova, is a new title and season 16, now to be dubbed on Cartoon Network.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 177.65.162.244 (talkcontribs)

Needs a proper source.—Ryulong (琉竜) 17:33, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think there is a new dedicated Subeseason of Season 2 that involves Team Plasma based on one of the Japanese Previews.—cyberpower OfflineMerry Christmas 12:09, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
We might split things off for that Japanese season but there's no need to rename or move episodes about on this page.—Ryulong (琉竜) 12:11, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've seen the sources and we will figure out how to fix this in the coming days. Moving everything by yourself is going to be problematic.—Ryulong (琉竜) 05:31, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I see it now as well. We should move it as this isn't the Japanese Wikipedia.—cyberpower ChatOnline 14:03, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No. Not yet. And it does not matter that this is not the Japanese Wikipedia. Pokémon is Japanese and we should not disavow that just because the translator decided to make a season longer.—Ryulong (琉竜) 14:52, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I say we should get a WP:3O. That way we can get somewhere with this discussion.—cyberpower ChatOnline 14:55, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Fine. Go post on 3O.—Ryulong (琉竜) 15:02, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Posted. I will keep everything as is for the time being.—cyberpower ChatOnline 15:06, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Response to third opinion request:
Whether it is a new season in Japan or not, that shouldn't change the fact that "Episode N" falls into dub season 16 category. All of the other articles are being followed in the dub season order, regardless of the anime's origin. If I remember correctly, they did a similar thing when Orange Islands and Johto came around. They were known as "Pocket Monsters Orange Islands" and "Pocket Monsters Gold and Silver". Did Wikipedia go with the Japanese titles back then, just because "Pokémon is Japanese"? No. Hell, there is absolutely nothing mentioned about their actual Japanese name in the articles, they simply call it Pocket Monsters. So, "Pokémon is Japanese" is not a valid reason to keep this article. If you are concerned about Episode N's 'Japanese origin', I am proposing the same thing which I suggested here, a few months ago i.e the sub-division of season 16 article into two sections: One covering the remaining BWS2 episodes and the other one for BWS2N with the respective note mentioning the beginning of new Japanese season. And the remaining Rival Destinies episodes in BWS2 article should be merged into season 15, their actual place. To wrap it up, dub season 16 deserves its own article and this article should be merged into that one. AdyNiz 15:19, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your 3O. I will notify Ryulong of this and begin the changes. I do however propose we keep the N subseries for now as we wait until we air those in English before continuing.—cyberpower ChatOffline 15:25, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I completed the appropriate moves.—cyberpower ChatOffline 16:15, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Good to know. AdyNiz 16:25, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ugh what horrible arguments. Wikipedia didn't rename the pages when the Orange Islands Chapter and Gold-Silver Chapter were on TV because Wikipedia did not exist as an entity yet. All of this is just awful. Adyniz is barely a 3rd opinion in this matter and is as much involved in editing these pages as the rest of us. WP:3O is supposed to get outside opinions. Not bring in a third voice with a similar editing history to break a two person tie.—Ryulong (琉竜) 09:09, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fine. So this happened because someone from Bulbapedia gave a third opinion (that's hardly an outside opinion at that). I think that instead we should be just cutting out some of the excessive summary from the episode lists and just merging them all into singular lists for the entirety of the Japanese broadcast, and just splitting those up into the single international broadcast season titles. The way we have things set up now is only going to cause problems once the Episode N episodes get smerged into the Adventures in Unova pages.—Ryulong (琉竜) 04:05, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't do that either. I would keep them in the Japanese broadcast lists and move them over one by one as they get released in English.—cyberpower ChatOffline 04:11, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is that this website's copyright (or copyleft) means that everybody's contributions need to be properly attributed. The fact that you've just decided that you're moving everything from the Episode N page to this one in 11 weeks means that all work done on the Episode N page is never going to be properly attributed, just like all the stuff you did today in doing this move based on the opinion of someone from Bulbapedia. When you perform a merge like you did today, you need to explicitly state that the content came from another page. Additionally, in all of your edits the only aspect of the Japanese broadcast you kept in referring to these episodes as the Season 2 title was to keep the season 2 logo on this page. You deleted the Japanese title from this page and never bothered stating on the other that the Japanese broadcast season was split between these two. This is why I think it's just a hell of a lot better to take the 17 lists we have now and merge them into a greater set of 4 lists, and just add section titles to whenever the international broadcast changed season names.—Ryulong (琉竜) 04:42, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I placed a note on the episode where the Best Wishes! Season 2 series began. Take a look at "All for the love of Meloetta". I feel that is enough information for a list of episodes. Merging them into one list is going to cause even more problems. The reader is most likely trying to access the season by searching for the name of the season. Merging them or leaving them with Japanese names will just confuse readers. If you feel you need to reattribute them, then add some information to it.—cyberpower ChatOffline 13:06, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
How is it going to confuse readers? We already treat it as such on the full list of all episodes. And that single line you added to the episode summary wasn't enough. We already state it's part of "Best Wishes!" at the top of the page so why not mention the season 2 information there?—Ryulong (琉竜) 14:52, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The big list is seperated by the english seasons. When they want to access the article, they will no doubt be looking for Adventures in Unova and not Best Wishes! Season 2. Also when they see Rival Destinies without all of the episodes, they're most certainly going to get confused. Just because we know that they're under Best Wishes! Season 2, doesn't mean everyone else knows.
That's what redirects and explanatory text are used for.—Ryulong (琉竜) 16:59, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Colour contrast problems

[edit]

It seems that this article is using colours in the infobox which don't satisfy Wikipedia's accessibility guidelines. The contrast between the foreground colour and the background colour is low, which means that it may be difficult or impossible for people with visual impairments to read it.

To correct this problem, a group of editors have decided to remove support for invalid colours from Template:Infobox television season and other television season templates after 1 September 2015. If you would still like to use custom colours for the infobox and episode list in this article after that date, please ensure that the colours meet the WCAG AAA standard.

To test whether a colour combination is AAA-compliant you can use Snook's colour contrast tool. If your background colour is dark, then please test it against a foreground colour of "FFFFFF" (white). If it is light, please test it against a foreground colour of "000000" (black). The tool needs to say "YES" in the box for "WCAG 2 AAA Compliant" when you input the foreground and the background colour. You can generally make your colour compliant by adjusting the "Value (%)" fader in the middle box.

Please be sure to change the invalid colour in every place that it appears, including the infobox, the episode list, and the series overview table. If you have any questions about this, please ask on Template talk:Infobox television season. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 05:30, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
