RfC: List different from list on gazprom site

[edit]

I need a reliable list of gazprom subs, and theres nothing on this page to explain why its so different from the list published on the gazprom site. Copied the template from the RFC instruction page, can't say it was very clear on how to do it.

I don't think these lists are very different. The list was created to have most important subsidiaries and subsidiaries on abroad, and therefore doesn't consist all subsidiaries in Russia. Second reason is that although this list on Gazprom's website gives the list as 1 July 2007, it was updated only resently. However, it's better than previous list, but still incomplete. If you compare this list with the information from investor's section (in Russian only), you see lot of differences. Some information came also from the Gazprom's press releases. Wikipedia consists also companies list controlled by Gazprom not directly, but through its other subsidiaries. Forth reason is, that having several hundred subsidiaries, there are ongoing activities of restructuring, selling or buying companies. So, if you need a full list of Gazprom's subsidiaries, I am not sure if you even get this list from Gazprom itself. However, be brave to correct any mistake you will find in this list, and to add missing subsidiaries.Beagel 18:04, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT: I removed the reference to Slovak Gas Holding, because although Gazprom WAS a member of this consortium, it has never used its option and the deadline has run out. Thus only E.ON Ruhrgas and GDF Suez are shareholders of this company and not Gazprom. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.3.249.115 (talk) 18:27, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
