Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on July 30, 2010.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that Baseball Hall of Famer Lou Boudreau has the record for most wins as Cleveland Indians manager with 728?

There should be a total of 7 former Cleveland managers in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

[edit]

Re: Speaker, Boudreau, Lopez, Walter Johnson, Joe Gordon, and Frank Robinson are the six Indians managers to have been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.[2]"

There should be a total of 7 former Cleveland managers in the HoF, not 6. Your Ref.2, http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CLE/hof.shtml, is out-of-date. Joe Gordon was inducted in 2009 (last year) and is not yet included. A new ref is needed. Your table is correct in including Nap Lajoie to make a total of 7, except that the team name wasn't "Indians" back then. --PFHLai (talk) 05:57, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Number of managers?

[edit]

The team introduced Vogt as their 45th manager,[1] but this list identifies him as the 47th. Anyone know what the discrepancy might be? - Eureka Lott 00:50, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
