[edit]The referenced regional memoir (p82) describes the greatest thickness (132ft/40.2m) as being achieved 'at Boothby Pagnell, southeast of Grantham'- the 4 fig OS grid ref for that locality is in fact SK 9730, but not quoted in the ref. cheers Geopersona (talk) 06:33, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Geopersona: Thanks. I had earlier rewritten that part anyway. I introduced an available, citable source, although it lacked the replacement detail about location. Besides, the use of grid references within the body of WP articles is most unconventional; placenames seen to be the norm. Should we re-introduce the location, based on your quotation above? - Yes, I think we could add the name of the locality since it's in the source. Some editors do like grid refs - I'd use them sparingly in the body text myself and they'not warranted here. cheers Geopersona (talk) 12:02, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
