Oldest regiment in the world?

I am changing 'the world's oldest regiment still in existence' to 'one of the world's oldest regiment still in existence'

Well, the Swiss Guard is just a company, not a regiment. Reinforced company strength. So the question is what is a "regiment". 99.6.23.117 (talk) 16:49, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well. Wikipedia says a regiment is a military unit of between 3,000 and 5,000 often lead by a Colonel/Lieutenant Colonel or a General/Brigadier General 170.201.172.68 (talk) 00:47, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
