Indo-Aryan

[edit]

How do we know that the Lhotshampa are Indo-Aryan? is there any proof? --Maurice45 (talk) 17:02, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

History

[edit]

Not to ignore that Lhotshampa history ( 300 yrs old) is older than present Bhutan Monarchy (105 yrs old). Also there are papers in Kathmandu libraries ( Tribhuvan University, Department of History, central Library) that say Prince Bahadur Shah spared Bhutan from annexation into Nepal because of Lhotshampa's presence. So the information that says all Lhotshampas emigrated to Bhutan in 1950s is greatly flawed and biased. Khanalsar (talk) 20:15, 18 December 2011 (UTC)user: khanalsar, 18 december 2011[reply]

The article doesn't mention the 1950s. What passage were you reading exactly? Otherwise, if you can show reliable, verifiable sources for the annexation claim, the claim might have a place in the article. JFHJr () 20:20, 18 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
