List

[edit]

Do we really want a list of all levee breaches? There must be thousands in the Netherlands alone. I suggest we limit it to a list of notable breaches with an emphasis on modern events. Reboelje (talk) 21:18, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, they should be considered "major" just like in Dam failure.--NortyNort (Holla) 00:27, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The "levee" failure in New Jersey during Huricane Sandy, 2012, was not really a levee, but a natural embankment or berm that was breached. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.194.140.51 (talk) 22:01, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Places

[edit]

In this page, place names outside the US are "localized" by their country name, while US place names are not. Are the US the center of the world and of the English speaking Internet? Why not "localize" US place names too? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Henri Hudson (talkcontribs) 12:10, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
