[edit]Surely the parish cannot include Edinburgh Castle — that's right at the other end of the Royal Mile!! Even with all the church closings there must be several ones closer (including, of course, St Giles). Doops | talk 23:32, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
- For historical reasons Canongate Kirk is the parish church of Edinburgh Castle (even though it is detached from the rest of the parish). The Governor of the Castle has his own pew in the Kirk. --Matthewross 23:39, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
