recent articles indicate public officials agree with family members that her age is 92, not 88—Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.174.113.187 (talk) 17:57, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Age

[edit]

I changed the age and the birth year, adding N_okla's source for reference. Josh McCartt 16:50, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Age II

[edit]

I think both references to her age should stay until a birth or death certificate is shown online. The Social Security Death Index will report her death in another month or so, and will be the final arbiter, she would have to have shown a certified copy of a birth certificate to get an SS Number. See Al Lewis for a similar problem, with multiple news outlets reporting the incorrect age and how it was solved. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) 18:25, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Any word on this?--Gloriamarie 01:17, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I still cant find her at http://ssdi.rootsweb.com --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) 05:41, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fallout

[edit]

Perhaps the biggest fallout was that the narcotics unit of the APD was dissolved. any reason its not included?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.244.126.207 (talk) 21:26, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Citation Needed for Lyrics

[edit]

I'm wondering if anyone else wants to comment on SmackBot's addition of citation tags to the 2 songs at the end of the article. There's hardly going to be a definitive reference, and it seems out of character to add a link to one of the ad-ridden lyrics sites that anyone can find for themselves. Does a lmgtfy link qualify as a citation? (mostly joking, of course). Acabre (talk) 02:16, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the songs are interesting, but WP policy is clear. For these claims to remain in WP someone will need to provide a verifiable, reliable secondary source citations for each of the songs/lyrics; else it is WP:OR. N2e (talk) 18:09, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs a photo

[edit]

This article really needs a photo of the person whom it is about. Adding {{reqphoto}} tag. N2e (talk) 01:36, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article now has a photo, removing the tag. Tim Landy (talk) 13:59, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Some sources not matching statements

[edit]

In reading some of the sources for some of the statements in the article, I'm finding that they do not support those statements. It is of vital importance that the statements in the article be verifiable and backed up by the sources they cite. I'm rewording or taking out parts where I find that to be the case. If I've missed something in these sources, please quote the statements that back up our article. For example, I didn't find support in [1] for 'handcuffed on the floor and bled to death' or 'police planted drugs'. I'm about to review the rest of the refs for that sentence. Will you all keep an eye out for statements that don't match refs as well? delldot ∇. 15:08, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Two sources support the drug planting thing, but I found nothing supporting the bleeding to death in handcuffs thing so I've taken it out. delldot ∇. 19:37, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Killer Mike references the Kathryn Johnston Shooting in his song "Anywhere But Here (Feat. Emily Panic)" off his 2012 album Cancer 4 Cure. If you believe this is important, can you please update the article with this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.235.251.143 (talk) 04:36, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Shooting of Kathryn JohnstonKilling of Kathryn Johnston – Johnston was killed. Two officers were found guilty of voluntary manslaughter. There is no reason why the title should not clearly indicate the most notable fact about this case, that she was killed. --- C&C (Coffeeandcrumbs) 17:45, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
