In the CSD G12 tag, I linked generally to http://www.khazen.org because the content was copied directly from various pages on that site. Specific examples of pages that material was directly copied from are [1] and [2]. --NickContact/Contribs 02:53, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Source for Jericho genetics does not show this assertion. Please update source or remove statement. Consider removing in any case (or at least giving context), as it is misleading, seeming to indicate that this is something remarkable or unique, or indicating a constant history in the region, while in fact this gene group is found throughout the Arab world, North Africa, Iran, Iberia, etc. and in 30% of Jews. In no way does would this contraindicate, migration from Arabia, Africa, or Mesopotamia following this gene group spreading to those areas. According to the khazen family website cited above the Khazens decend from "The Ghassanids (Arabic: الغساسنة‎‏; al-Ghasāsinah, also Banū Ghassān "Sons of Ghassān") were a group of Arabs descended from the Azd tribes, that emigrated in the early 3rd century from the Southern Arabian Peninsula to the Levant region,[1][2] where some merged with Greek-speaking Christians' communities,[3] converting to Christianity in the first few Centuries AD while others were already Christians before emigrating north to escape religious prosecution.[2][4] The Ghassanids generally did not accept Islam and few became Muslim following the Islamic Conquest; most Ghassanids remained Christian and joined Melkite and Syriac communities within present day Jordan , Syria and Lebanon.[2]" [3]. This again confirms how unremarkable the genetic find is. It should be removed or at least given adequate context. Also consider adding the information about the descent from the Ghassanids. 31.168.12.118 (talk) 09:34, 12 November 2015 (UTC)D[reply]
