[edit]

Dear Wiki, In 2008 I legally changed my name to reflect a very personal & deeply held religious & cultural belief which is also a family tradition. Hence I've been Tziporah for 16 years now, I never use Kate Fischer for anything- & neither does anyone else. Please would you do me the courtesy of amending the name of this page to Tziporah Malkah? Thank you so much, Kindest Regards, Tziporah Malkah TziTziWombat (talk) 16:36, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@TziTziWombat Please refrain from making any further changes to the article itself as this violates the conflict of interest policy. You are free to make edit requests here on the talk page. We generally use a person's name from when they were most notable in their career as the article title but as you have been credited under your current name I believe this will be an uncontroversial change. I will look into this further and make the change if it is appropriate, otherwise I will open a discussion to propose moving the article. Adam Black talkcontribs 15:47, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Adam, I appreciate the feedback.
Unfortunately my wikipedia page is filled with factual inaccuracies, hence why I made some changes to rectify this. Media tends to lie and can also have malevolent intent- as I see here on my Wiki page with one or two of the contributors.
I fully appreciate the concern of Wikipedia regarding subjects editing their own pages because of potential lack of objectivity. However what I did was only to state the bare facts as some of the untruths may be subject to legal proceedings in the future and I'm trying to fair to all parties.
Would it be helpful if I were to copy & paste the revisions below?
Could you please pay special attention to my religion. I was born Jewish so please remove any speculation there may have been in the tabloid media of "conversion", as particularly given this current climate of anti-semitism I really do not appreciate having my culture and birthright played with.
Thanks so much once again,

In general, changes made by article subjects are reverted as a matter of course. It was not done based on the factual accuracy of your edits. Your article is on my list to review but I've had a rather busy few days (I've taken on a bit too much at the moment, volunteering in making preparations for the upcoming UK general election and helping with the harvest on a friend's farm) and so I've been slow to get around to it and I apologise for this. In the mean time, please see WP:ASFAQ for an in-depth FAQ for article subjects.
While I will be able to make make many of the changes you are requesting, some may not be so easy. For example, Wikipedia relies on published, reliable, secondary sources to verify everything in an article and so if the majority remark upon you as having "converted" to Judaism then that becomes difficult to challenge. I will do some research myself in the course of editing this article, but if you can point to sources that support your position that would be very helpful. It does not have to be published online, for example newspaper articles, interviews and biographical books are all suitable sources. If your suggested sources are not available online, it would be great if you could email me a copy of any relevant portions (using the "Email this user" link under "Tools" on my user and talk pages).
I have most of tomorrow free. I will work on your article then. Adam Black talkcontribs 00:06, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have requested this move for you. You can see the request at Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests#Uncontroversial technical requests (permalink: [2]). An administrator or page mover will deal with this request shortly, unless another editor contests it. Thank you for your suggestion to improve Wikipedia.
