[edit]Ask an expert rock climber and chances are he/she heard of Joshua Tree, Cal. The desert community has became an outdoor sports mecca for rock climbers, hikers and campers. Located near Joshua Tree National Park, the town has gotten used to tourists, new-age believers and nature lovers are morphing the Morongo Basin into a smaller version of "Beverly Hills" (a local told me that on the bus, about her town has attracted plenty of people from L.A. and Orange County in recent years). Joshua Tree boosts enough health food cafes, alternative medicine shops, artists' boutiques, and sporting goods stores to last a block long. Birth date/place?
[edit]Okay, while reading this article, it struck me as odd that his birthplace was listed as Joshua Tree -- I'm a big fan of both him and Queens of the Stone Age and I'm almost %100 sure that he was born in Palm Springs.
Also, while reading his article Josh Homme they list his birthday as May 17, 1973 and his birthplace as Palm Springs (aha!) but I can't see what they're citing for these facts. IMDB lists his birthday and place as May 73 and Palm Springs as well. (This one) But this one says different on the birthday.
Any ideas? I may just use the IMDB as a cite to remove his name here and add it to the Palm Springs article? Also I may start a thread on his article about this topic. AC (talk) 07:08, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
