WP:MILHIST Assessment

[edit]

This is a decent article for length and detail. But on organization and writing style, I must say I feel like it sounds more like an "About the Author" than an encylopedia article. Craven's academic qualifications do not belong in the introduction, as they do not summarize who he is or why he is historically/academically significant. With just a bit of reorganization and copy-editing for encyclopedic (academic) writing style, this can quickly become a very solid article, perhaps even B-class. Ballard's article needs to talk more about Craven. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.191.143.44 (talk) 14:56, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
