@Alphalul:, @CambridgeBayWeather: This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the lead gives some indication as to the notability of the subject, as having played association football professionally in England's Football League. While the WP:NFOOTBALL subject-specific notability guideline no longer applies, speedy deletion was not at all appropriate in this case, and the article should have either have been taken to PROD or AfD. Am quite taken aback that an admin would speedy delete this within hours of it being tagged without clearly looking at the article and its past revisions.
