Gotti: Rise and Fall
[edit]When I started this article (nearly two years ago), I based much of the information from the nonfiction novel "Gotti: Rise and Fall." I should have cited it better.. anyway, particularly, the quotes from Gotti and Gotti's wife (currently at the end of the article) are, in particular, directly quoted from the book.. I should get around to adding those citations later if I have time. --Josh1billion 05:41, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
The way I'd always heard the story was that Frank Gotti was on a bicycle as the article states as of now (9/29/09). But in Victoria Gotti's account of the accident (as described in today's NY Post), and in that of an article at trutv.com (http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/gangsters_outlaws/mob_bosses/gotti/gotti_8.html), Frank was riding a (motorized) minibike.
From this reddit thread Josh posted, "People have removed some of the interesting details over the years which I quoted right from the book." and "Pretty much. I completely stopped contributing to Wikipedia years ago because it just wasn't worth dealing with those people."
Based on that it may be a good idea to bring up the previous edits and investigate to see whether there was fair treatment. I would like to learn more about what has been removed. I can bring up refs, and if need be, they can be restored. @Josh1billion: WhisperToMe (talk) 07:08, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- I haven't seen any editing disputes specifically about this article. If somebody can get the information from exact page number citations it can be added back. WhisperToMe (talk) 07:22, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- Other sources are reporting Favara was drunk. For some reason that isn't mentioned in the article, even to debunk it. Why?198.161.4.90 (talk) 20:29, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
