The following section removed from the main article really needs a citation if it's to be included: Bobtalk21:40, 10 March 2015 (UTC)In actuality, Clarkson and producer Andy Wilman wanted Hammond and May right from the beginning of the relaunched series. Hammond was interested in hosting, whereas May, even while broke and homeless, wasn't. However, over time May began to like what he was seeing, so May contacted Wilman and confirmed his interest, bringing Dawe's tenure to an end- who was really just brought on as a temporary replacement for May.[reply]
