Does the person who put that Janie Fricke is "Countrypolitan" really have an understanding of what Countrypolitan is? I don't believe that he or she does. I've never been a big fan of Janie Fricke (in fact, I've only actually liked about three of her hits), but "Countrypolitan" she is not. First of all, she is not from the "Countrypolitan" era. Some examples of country singers who sang Countrypolitan almost exclusively? Well, Jim Reeves was one. Patsy Cline and Eddy Arnold were others. Also, Charly Pride, early in his career, as well as Tammy Wynette, early in her career were extremely countrypolitanistic, But Janie Fricke??? No. She is not Countrypolitan. I know my country music, and I know what I'm talking about. You can say a lot of things about Janie Fricke, but Countrypolitan is not one of them. I'm going to take it out of article.
