Removed suspected vandalism
[edit]Removed a line at the end of the Life/Work section that said "He is now dead". Tante 16:08, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- His career certainly is, however that statement is inappropriate in an encyclopedia, so good work. I wish he was still performing; Ingram, Peabo Bryson, Freddie Jackson, and Jeffrey Osborne are certainly talented vocalist, they just never achieved super stardom. K.H (talk) 03:47, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
- The death of his career has been exaggerated. He still performs (though much of it is Gospel now). Musdan77 (talk) 03:20, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
Infobox Format
[edit]It appears to me that the beginnings of common words in the infobox, such as instruments and genres, should not be capitalized, so I hope you don't mind me editing it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Onlyaguy (talk • contribs) 01:32, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
- You are correct. There are some exceptions, but usually they should not be capitalized. Musdan77 (talk) 03:12, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

I graduated from high school in 1970 with James Ingram and I was born in 1952. If he were born in 1956 he would have been 14 in 1970 and although he may be smart, he was not that young for sure! I also went through elementary and Jr. high with him so I'm sure about the age. 58.216.240.238 (talk) 15:14, 4 February 2009 (UTC) |

Ingram was also the featured vocalist for the song, Love's Calling, from the group, Zingara. 2601:8D:8600:4BB1:152F:305A:94B5:D889 (talk) 22:54, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. DannyS712 (talk) 04:41, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
Cause of death
[edit]Here, I cited the brain cancer cause of death to Richmond Free Press. However, most other sources (e.g.,[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]), which are all in the day or two after death, attribute it to TMZ (who attributes it to unnamed sources close to him) or don't state a cause at all, some specifically stating that no cause has been announced. L.A. County Coroner does not have it, either because it is not a coroner's case (likely) or because it has not been announced. I can't seem to find a corroborating, reliable, independent, source. —[AlanM1(talk)]— 19:15, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
