the picture

[edit]

It says 2009, but it seems illogical for him to wear a navy seals bdu's since he didn't play a SEAl in any movies that year, the only instance seems to be G.I. Jane, maybe the picture is older — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.84.22.31 (talk) 14:25, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pro-Life

[edit]

James Caviezel is pro-life and has made statements stating this fact in a series of speeches he has done across the country. He was also the keynote speaker at the Pro-Life Convention in St. Louis, Missouri on October 16, 2005! [1] [2] Dwain 02:17, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

And your point is? Just add it to the article. Jeez, I wonder why people keep doing this... SilentRage 10:55, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Apparently, Mr Caviezel's opposition was to embryonic stem cell research". Imagine! What with him being pro-life an' all. How incisive and not at all sarcastic of you.

I would love it if other similar wiki articles noted what candidates movie stars contributed to (or governments for that matter). Also, what organizations they are tied into. For example, Dave Grohl and his connection to the now defunt ZPG -- Zero Population Growth -- one of the most radical anti-human groups out there in terms of population growth. But in the wikiworld, try saying something bad about someone's favorite Sean Penn, Grohl, etc., and you get trounced. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.160.108.190 (talk) 12:41, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

POV Religious statements

[edit]

Certain things seem a little off "Blessed Virgin Mary" seems unnecessarily phrased. Trivia that Jesus was 33 when he died, which isn't verifiable by any means, not even in the Bible. For some reason Embryonic is italicized, not sure why.

I don't want to make the appropriate edits unilaterally, any input would be appreciated.

Maybe they should rename this biblepedia

Oh man. That was a good one. You really stuck it to them now didn't you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.226.66.130 (talk) 03:53, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Count of Monte Christo

[edit]

He gave a very good performance in The Count of Monte Christo as Edmond Dantes originally written by Alexandre Dumas. He owned Edmond Dantes and he breezed through the whole movie with such a flourish. --::semper fidelis:: 19:44, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Doctor Strange?

[edit]

Where is the evidence that Caviezel has been cast as Doctor Stephen Strange in a Doctor Strange 2012 film?. I think this should be removed, this is wishful casting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Matthewakisan (talkcontribs) 20:06, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Scanned the page and any mention of a Dr. Strange casting seems to have been removed. Marking as  Done MaximusEditor (talk) 23:11, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Political Contribution

[edit]

This whole biography reeks with the biased leanings of the author. So much so that it should be titled, "Why I Dislike Jim". I have read many biographies in Wikipedia and have never read one in which the amount of the person's contribution to a political candidate was indicated. Those several biographies never primarily stressed the religious upbringing or continuing involvement, or the political leanings, or contribution dollar amount, for above half of the biography. This article would have fit well in a political magazine but does not belong on Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.205.141.101 (talk) 23:38, 25 July 2010 (UTC) [link title][reply]

Elvis by Martin Scorsese?!?

[edit]

Jim Caviezel's Filmography lists him playing Elvis in the movie "Elvis" coming out in 2011-- according to this entry, it's being directed by none other than Martin Scorsese, but I can't find ANY info on it and on the Scorsese page, it lists a documentary he's working on about George Harrison, not Elvis, for 2011- is this a hoax/joke or can anyone confirm? I have searched everywhere and other than being an Elvis fan, there is no connection and no such movie being listed....

anyone? --162.80.36.13 (talk) 21:09, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just removed that 'credit' as it is not on his imdb page and there is no citation for it and there is no such film being made by Scorsese, unless a citation and genuine source can be provided it should not be added back. Person of Interest premiere episode was great tonight though! - Russell — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.87.26.224 (talk) 02:01, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't anybody notice?

[edit]

Apparently, Jim Caviezel has been married since he turned one! (see below)

birth_name = James Patrick Caviezel, Jr. | birth_date = (1968-09-26) September 26, 1968 (age 56) | birth_place = Mount Vernon, Washington, United States | also known as = Jim Caviezel | occupation = Actor | years_active = 1991–present | spouse = Kerri Browitt Caviezel (1969–present)

When did they really get married?

According to IMDB [3] he was married July 20, 1996. I'll let somebody else confirm and edit this.--Halmass (talk) 10:25, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Donation made for Rick Santorum is personal not political!

[edit]

Just wanted to take the opportunity to say that at the end of Jim's article, it states that in 2006 he donated $2,100 to Rick Santorum who is currently running for President. However, in 2006 Jim donated the money out of the kindness of his heart to support Santorums efforts in adopting a child. How can I get this fact revised? Anybody...help!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ktasst (talkcontribs) 22:08, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that's not what it says in the source given. So, you (or someone else) would have to find a reference that supports your claim. --Musdan77 (talk) 00:50, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Why is this statement even in the article? Why is Cavaziel's donation worth mentioning when 99% of other actor's donations aren't? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.13.92.178 (talk) 05:02, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Nearly all donations given for the 2012 election by actors are mentioned on their articles. Why shouldn't they be? --Musdan77 (talk) 18:26, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Recent comments about what happened during the filming of The Passion

I added a few SHOCKING tidbits, including the revelation that Caviezel had to have post-filming heart SURGERY...on a 33 yo man! This was revealed during this interview -

Ezekiel Chapter 4

[edit]

Talk about this after you do a study on Ezekiel Chapter 4. It would be the most thrilling and exciting thing you’ve ever been involved in. It will stir the hearts of men more than Braveheart or the Passion or The Ten Commandments. It is about the gathering of God’s people in the day we live. I pray you will look into it. Did not attend or graduate from Notre Dame

[edit]

I noticed him listed on the University of Notre Dame page under Alumni, but he never attended. His bio says nothing about it and I confirmed he is not in the alumni directory. The category or tag was added to him, for some reason. 142.196.168.42 (talk) 19:25, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

He did take at least one Spanish class at Notre Dame, according to a few sources, but I see nothing about him graduating. I will remove the category. Andrew Englehart (talk) 00:21, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The Washington Post? The Guardian is somewhat left wing, but "leftist"? Hardly. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 23:05, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You mean the leftist rag that was successfully sued for a fake news story about a boy who was harassed by others instead painting him as some sort of far-right weirdo? Um, yeah. That's a leftist source. 2A02:810A:12BF:E2A0:0:0:0:1E3E (talk) 14:52, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please refrain from calling independent news sources that do not align with your views as "leftist". On Wikipedia, we have to be strictly independent of bias against news sources and only report on what is in fact reliable information. WiinterU (talk) 16:03, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
yep qanon. He's conservative so of course wiki would say this. I bet there are solid respectable resources too. Probably CNN and MSNBC. if I could only paste a laughing face here. It is interesting to note that NewsGuard has rated MSNBC as completely unreliable quite some time ago as of this point and there really should be a discussion around deprecating such an unreliable source. 2A02:810A:12BF:E2A0:0:0:0:1E3E (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 15:18, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This statement is biased and argumentative. He's correct. There is no such thing as "QAnon." The movement IS called Q, and anons are people who follow/share it. "Caviezel also made more remarks about adrenochrome and claimed that "QAnon" does not exist, only "Q" and "anons" - a common talking point used by QAnon followers to deflect from their support for the movement."
