"... it has been claimed that Schochet uses anger, polemics and an audiences lack on knowledge [sic] to convince them the Jesus could not be the Messiah."

This passage beginning "it has been claimed" tries to disguise the writer's own self-interested argument as an observation. That aside, one could objectively state that Schochet uses anger and polemics in presenting his own positions and swaying his audiences; but, in contrast, the statement that Schochet uses an audience's lack of knowledge to make his point intends to quietly make the argument that Schochet is undoubtedly wrong and that Jesus must be the messiah -- the writer's circular argument. The sentence assumes that Christianity is a truth discoverable by people in possession of adequate knowledge and that counter-arguments are based on ignorance and deception.

Agree. Also, the cited source for that section does not appear to be one that is considered reliable for the purposes of Wikipedia--it looks more like a personal essay. Having negative poorly sourced statements is particularly problematic for a biography of a living person, so I will remove this paragraph. Assessment comment

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Jacob Immanuel Schochet/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

This page has very obviously been written with a pro-Chabad Lubavitch spin on it. It is full of weasel words and is presented in a specific way as to portray Chabad and Rabbi Schneersohn in the most positive light possible. It should be re-written to be more factual. Notability

This does not seem notable. Thoughts? --2603:7000:2143:8500:6DC8:71E:DA17:6742 (talk) 09:03, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Should be tagged for deletion. Yaakovaryeh (talk) 01:17, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
