Article name

[edit]

Since this tournament was known as "Jacob's Creek Open Championship" for only 6 of its 45 years, but was called "South Australian Open" (or some close variant thereof) for most of its history, I think this should be renamed to South Australian Open (golf). I tend to agree. The main point against, is that it was the Jacob's Creek Open Championship when at its "high" point as a Nationwide Tour event. The merit of the move is that it would remove a sponsors name. Probably a WP:RM would be advisable. I've added a note to WT:GOLF hoping for more comments. I'm pretty much always in favor of moving articles to un-sponsored names. pʰeːnuːmuː →‎ pʰiːnyːmyː → ‎ɸinimi → ‎fiɲimi 20:13, 16 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I can just go for it, per WP:BOLD, if everyone's happy and see if the sky falls in. Nigej (talk) 20:52, 16 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Moved it, as per this discussion. Nigej (talk) 19:05, 17 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
