Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because the information on Finance Directory has been sourced directly from the CPA Ireland website. The page that it is being said is being infringed upon has sourced its information directly from the CPA Ireland website. I have the permission of CPA Ireland to create this page as a source of information about the Institute. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KKinsella12 (talk • contribs) 15:53, 24 July 2012
- The deletion went ahead: [1]
- It would have been quicker for you to rewrite the material than to demonstrate that you had permission. I have now done so. – Fayenatic London 12:50, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
- No-one needs permission to create an article in Wikipedia. Do you mean that you have the permission of CPA Ireland to use their own website's text here, even though Wikipedia is a non-copyright site and CPA Ireland's site asserts copyright? If so, please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials, especially the section Granting us permission to copy material already online. Once you have demonstrated this, then please ask me or another administrator to undelete the original page history, so that your own contributions will be visible to all readers. – Fayenatic London 18:32, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
