Suffragette

[edit]

Wasn't she also a suffragette (i.e., protesting to allow women to vote)? Badagnani (talk) 03:19, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Her name is inconsistently spelled with both an o and u being used for her first name. The arabic vowel on the H is usually made into a U, and a google search returned 4x more results for Huda rather than Hoda.

The picture that is supposed to represent Huda Shaarawi and Safia Zaghloul is a picture of Safia and her sister, not at all Huda Shaarawi. This is really preposterous because it has led to this picture being used by a Moroccan publisher of an unauthorized republication of Huda Shaarawi's autobiography, so that the whole publication looks like a hoax. Please be more serious than this, Wikipedia staff. If you wish to verify this, look at a recent publication about Huda Shaarawi entitled "Casting Off the Veil: the Life of Huda Shaarawi, Egypt's First Feminist", written by her grand-daughter Sania Sharawi Lanfranchi, and published by I.B.Tauris, a serious publisher. The amateurish publication of just any material about anyone by this encyclopedia is shameful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.130.87.153 (talk) 15:48, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Laughably biased

[edit]

This reads like an advertisement or a puff piece. It badly needs to be made into a professionally written article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.23.96.8 (talk) 08:18, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
