Citation?

[edit]

Does a disambiguation page need a credible source to back up the claim that the phrase is a misquote? --Rfsmit (talk) 19:05, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The "credible source" for any disambiguation page entry should be the page it links to.
There are never direct citations on a dab page.--NapoliRoma (talk) 22:21, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why display "(disambiguation)" after the "See also" links?

[edit]

@Bkonrad your summary at https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Heavy_Lies_the_Crown&oldid=1252442603 frames this as fixing "mistaken edits" (presumably referring to my changing the piped links to link directly to e.g. Heavy Is the Head instead of the Heavy Is the Head (disambiguation) redirect, but doesn't explain why you think they were mistaken.

What's the logic here? Including (disambiguation) seems mildly inelegant and confusing, and I don't see any real upside.

(Well, I can imagine one theoretical upside, but it's a stretch - I guess this future-proofs against the possibility of one of the linked pages becoming an actual article, and the redirect page with "(disambiguation)" in the title being replaced by the actual disambiguation page. But there's no reason I see to expect this to ever happen, and we could just change the links if it did.) ExplodingCabbage (talk) 15:43, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks - I suggest including that link in edit summaries when making changes based on that rule. ExplodingCabbage (talk) 04:22, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
