inconsistency
[edit]if the page is named ,,Heads of former ruling families" not ,,List of current pretenders" it shouldn't be there Dalai Lama and one person should not occupy more than one seat e.g Rüdiger, Margrave of Meissen is a contender to the throne of Saxony and Poland:
State | Pretender | Since | House | Claim | Succession | Abolition | Ref(s) |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Saxony Kingdom of Saxony Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth | Rüdiger | 6 October 2012 | Wettin | Great-grandson of King Friedrich August III (1904–1918). | Hereditary | 1918\1815 |
should be on the list:
Juan José of Moctezuma de Tultengo, Ghalib II al-Qu'aiti, Mokanbabu Rajah (possibly the closest relative of Sri Rajadhi Rajasinha king of Kandy), Jason Brooke, Simon Egerton Scrope, Joachim, 8th Prince Murat, Ewuare II - his ancestors were kings of an independent state and he is not king of an independent Benin, and the descendants of the dynasty Keita live
7 people are called kings of Jerusalem

Legal name of one of the Proponents of the Hawaiian kingdom
[edit]Darrick Lane Hoapili Līloa Kamakahelei Baker's Legal name by Birth is Simply Darrick Lane Baker. he and his cousin "princess" Idony Baker are in dispute with each other claiming to both be heads of the House of Kamakahelei while also claiming both add on to their own names (both do add onto their names as far as I have concluded). looking at birth records on family search and claims by such, Darrick Lane Baker should be the head of the house with the fact that He is in the Senior Male line.I would also note taking down Prince from his name as no other person on the list has that title in their name as no other person within the list does so. 808Poiboy (talk) 22:35, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
Iceland and the Commonwealth realms
[edit]Who would the pretender to the Icelandic throne and also is King Charles III the pretender to the former Commonwealth realms?86.162.44.160 (talk) 15:09, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- For Iceland, christian x of denmark, and yes to the second question Jfrimpong945 (talk) 13:59, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
There isn't a pretender to the former commonwealth realms or Iceland: the republican constitutions of them were recognised by the monarch in London/Copenhagen, they don't maintain a claim89.240.176.190 (talk) 18:14, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
And if the Danish monarchs kept claiming Iceland (which they don't), it was would be the current King, Frederik X, not his great grandfather Christian X.89.240.176.190 (talk) 18:15, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
Japanese Domains
[edit]Should they be included? They are included as monarchs in their respective pages (citing their period of rule as reign) .and even in List of longest reigning monarchs. Some of these include family trees and Current Heads such as Kaga Domain 77.101.238.210 (talk) 07:28, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- If you have them, yes Jfrimpong945 (talk) 13:58, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
Should Andrew Lee replace Yi Seok?
[edit]I'm not well educated on this topic, but: According to the Wikipedia page for Andrew Lew, Yi Seok "abdicated" in 2022. TansoShoshen (talk) 05:59, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
Should people from this Page be put here? 77.101.238.210 (talk) 14:30, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- On grounds of WP:LENGTH, I think the split should be retained. DrKay (talk) 14:37, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
Yuan Jiarong
[edit]Don't see any reason why he shouldn't be included. TansoShoshen (talk) 17:10, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- After doing a little research, it seems there is a person named Yuan Keding, also possibly named Jiarong (according to Reddit), son of Emperor Yuan Shikai, representing the Empire of China (1915–1916). Perhaps there is a claim regarding the Hongxian dynasty...? Cltjames (talk) 18:13, 2 November 2024 (UTC)

- Does Chinese Wikipedia somehow have different requirements to RS and Verifiability? [1] TansoShoshen (talk) 23:19, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- In addition according to Chinese Wikipedia it appears this person died in 1996 at 92. https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/袁克定 S302921 (talk) 18:29, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- It's weird how that information is under Yuan Keding, Yuan Jiarong's father. However, you make a good point that I got the wrong person. Yuan Jiyan is the head of the house, being the direct main-line descendant of Yuan Shikai. TansoShoshen (talk) 23:12, 2 November 2024 (UTC)

- I did not use neither Chinese Wikipedia nor Baidu for sourcing, I went to the original sources cited by Chinese Wikipedia. TansoShoshen (talk) 19:52, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- As you have already been told[2][3] those sources do not support the claim. DrKay (talk) 20:16, 3 November 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Plz add Sanyuktaraje Jaysinhrao Bhonsle for Akkalkot State since 1965. She is the eldest daughter of Jayasinhrao Fatehsinhrao III Raje Bhosle. Her heir and adopted son is Malojiraje III Sanyuktaraje Bhosle.

- Actually her son is the successor since it claims "After the demise of Shrimant Rajkumari Sanyuktaraje on 4th of May 2018, Malojiraje III was coronated as the Rajasaheb of Akkalkot, succeeding the Royal “Gadi” throne of Akkalkot." on the source linked. 77.101.238.210 (talk) 20:40, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
