  • Red XN A full list of personnel, including technical personnel and guest musicians
  • Red XN No obvious issues with sourcing, including the use of blatantly improper sources. (e.g. Sister Sledge version does not have chart peaks cited, similar for Will Smith sampling & charting.)
  • Green tickY No significant issues exist to hamper readability, although it may not rigorously follow WP:MOS;Shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 08:26, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is this song supposed to be about a specific man/male character?

[edit]

It has been thought that this song is based on Tony Manero (played by John Travolta) from the movie Saturday Night Fever.Cbsteffen (talk) 02:32, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Brands in songs

[edit]

From the article: Nile Rodgers has speculated that this may have been the first occurrence of the later-widespread phenomenon of brands being mentioned in songs.

Not exactly. Paul Simon's Kodachrome from 1973 is titled after a brand name. Also, there is "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" from 1908 which contains “buy me some peanuts and some Cracker Jack”. There's also the 1907 song Budweiser’s a Friend of Mine. -Rolypolyman (talk) 16:36, 23 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

So what was on the 12”?

[edit]

The article states “ its 12″ version was shared by the "We Are Family" and "Lost in Music" tracks”. Eh? 3 tracks on 1 12”? I think not but can’t find a citation. But it isn’t too hard to find something online listing a 12” with Greatest Dancer and We Are Family. Anyone…..? Boscaswell talk 02:45, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
