Deleting Accounts a controversy?

[edit]

Not sure if it's worth mentioning, but there's been talk on Reddit how people aren't able to delete their HQ accounts due to lack of an option for the user to do it in app, lack of response from the HQ Twitter, and the ambiguity of associated websites, company, and contact information other than Twitter [1]. I myself am trying to delete mine, but there is a lack of information online as to how as well as people covering this. Just curious if this would warrant a spot in the controversies section or not... Kuyajayv1413 (talk) 02:16, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

International Versions

[edit]

"Sharon Carpenter (who is also regular host for the British games" - Which British games, are there any related apps? Bogger (talk) 19:05, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find any games, but have found many TV shows? Maybe that's what original editor meant? Subbu45 (talk) 22:45, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It's the same app - when you first register, you put in your cell phone number. If you enter a British number, you get the British version of the game, with a prize in Pound Sterling and British presenters and questions. Similarly, if you enter a German number, you get the German version with a prize in Euros. For the big money games, sometimes all players are able to play along, and here in the UK we are very occasionally offered the chance to play in a US Dollar game Twrist (talk) 20:18, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Toon Blast sponsorship and NBA finals payouts

[edit]

Can someone update this page with information about the NBA Finals payouts ? Game 1 was last night and HQ Trivia had prize of $100,000 - does anyone know how many people won and what the payout per winner was?? 1.6 million started the game I believe.

HQ announced the following
  • NBA finals game 2 will coincide with HQ prize of $200,000
  • NBA finals game 3 will coincide with HQ prize of $300,000
  • NBA finals game 4 will coincide with HQ prize of $400,000

If played ( best of 7 format )

  • NBA finals game 5 will coincide with HQ prize of $500,000
  • NBA finals game 6 will coincide with HQ prize of $600,000
  • NBA finals game 7 will coincide with HQ prize of $700,000

HQ Trivia Player, and Website Takeover

[edit]

Hello, I'm creating this section to inform everyboy that reads this that I was involved in the HQ Player Takeover. I'm the user SensaiNichols. Everything I put in this section was based on my memory of how everything went down, as well as info that was behind the scenes in our takeover group chat on Discord. I can't proive any pics of the Discord group chat though, as it has since been deleted. I wrote this section in collaboration with fellow contributer AlmNack, who also happaned to be involved in the takeover. He is AlanM. If you have any questions, feel free to message us. We feel like the community deserves to know what happaned behind the scenes as this was pretty special for us. Sorry we can't source much, but we'll see if we can find some sources to add in. Thanks for your support and understanding. 108.31.92.88 (talk) 11:21, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. We took a deep dive into our records, and found some more sources we could use, so we added them in. Hope this is enough. 108.31.92.88 (talk) 03:42, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
