This aircraft cannot be called an unmanned combat air vehicle, or UCAV, because UCAV is a technical term describing a blended wing body with internal weapons storage. The annual Pentagon unmanned systems roadmap is the best guide to terminology here.

Claims that Sarir is a stealth aircraft are patently false. Stealth is a 'holding pen' term used to describe a combination of signature reduction techniques applied as a coherent system to reduce optical, radar, noise and heat signatures. There is no evidence of any of these techniques being applied to the Sarir design. Construction from composite materials alone does not constitute stealth capabilities; if it were then the Boeing Dreamliner will have to start being called a stealth aircraft.

Lastly, the design has uncanny parallels with the IAI-Northrop Grumman Hunter UAV, and the possibility that the system is in fact reverse engineered from US Army aircraft lost in Iran and Afghanistan is worth examining.
