[edit]Hamad cannot be from his stated birthplace if the village in question was depopulated in 1948. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.191.241.9 (talk) 11:09, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
LBC TV interview
[edit]Does anyone have access to a transcript to the full LBC TV interview? The source of the translation seems to be MEMRI. The way it is quoted in many sources it sounds like he is offering to do the atrocities again, when according to MEMRI[1] he says ""We did not want to harm civilians, but there were complications on the ground, and there was a party in the area, with [civilian] population... It was a large area, across 40 kilometers...". Unfortunately, the MEMRI transcript is also quite selective (surprise surprise) and doesn't give us his full statement about civilians. Its also important to note that LBC TV itself gave a highlight of the interview in which it doesn't quote Hamad saying any of the things MEMRI has him saying. The full video is here[2].
Given that Hamas is BLP, I would err on the side of caution and not selectively quote him.VR talk 00:53, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
