[edit]I have uploaded a copy of an e-mail from the CAMFT confirming George L. McGhee as fist president and founder.
Please also see Los Angeles Times article front page above the fold about George L. McGhee dated March 17, 1942 entitled “10,000th Navy recruit since Pearl Harbor.Mjmcghee
- Can you quote what the NYT says about him? Dicklyon 04:26, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
I just uploaded George L. McGhee's obit under GLM obitMjmcghee
I found all reference material about the subject in 4 major newspaper articles from two US states. The subject was a key influence in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy especially with laws and professional standards. There are numerous verifiable newspaper articles about the subject written by a non-bias third person. The Subjects professional organization, that he founded, is still in existence with over 30,000 members he definitely meets the notability criterion for Wiki. Joegillus 18:59, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
- Joe, thanks for your work here. Presumably you're a part of the Chase and McGhee families, and found these articles in family clipping albums or something; since there's a bit of WP:COI inherent here, it would be best if you could at least make copies of those references available to other editors so that the material can be verified. You could do that be putting scans online, or by mailing a photocopy to some other editor (I'll volunteer if you'd like my help). Also, Mjmcghee says he uploaded some things, but he didn't provide the links to them so they're probably lost, orphaned, or deleted by now; maybe you can help here. Dicklyon 20:50, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
