On 11 December 2024, it was proposed that this article be moved from Gabu Region to Gabu region. The result of the discussion was moved.

Diacritic acute accent

In Portuguese — and threfore Portuguese-speaking countries in Africa — when a word or name ends in a u it is automatically stressed, so it does not require the diacritic acute accent.
