[edit]This page should be retitled 'Dry Slide' to represent the generic name for the item discussed. 'Fun Slide', 'Super Slide', 'Lite Slide', 'Goliath Slide', 'Fast Trax', 'Euroslide', etc. are names of particular dry slides. Another option would be to create an umbrella page and list particular models.
Dry Slide
A dry slide is an amusement device where riders climb a set of stairs or ramp to the top of a large slide and use a mat, sack, or other such device to slide down. Most dry slides have lanes separated by humps to keep riders from colliding into each other on the way down. Smaller versions have three lanes, but some have as many as twelve or more lanes. At the bottom of the slide there is usually a runoff area comprised of canvas or carpeting designed to decelerate the riders and bring them to a stop.
