Name

[edit]

"Free Lebanon State" appears to be a mistranslation from Arabic by the article's creator. Scholarly sources on the subject consistently use the translation "State of Free Lebanon". A general search on Google returns only mirrors or citations of Wikipedia. See Google Ngrams. Yue🌙 06:44, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Flag

[edit]

From my research it appears the flag may be inaccurate or fabricated. It cites a crwflags.com article that states that it was the first flag of the Lebanese Army (although that links to a source I cannot find) and it mentions no connection to the State of Free Lebanon or the South Lebanon Army. I did find an article on the website that features the flag of the "Army of South Lebanon"[1] which mentions they used the proper flag, but it sources (what seems to be an old article of) Wikipedia.
