Text and/or other creative content from Farasa was copied or moved into Parashu with this edit. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists.

The name Farsha

I cannot find any source that validates the name "Farsha" as being a Sanskrit word. I propose that this article be renamed as Parashu. Comments?

Picture

Dont know much about this object, but the article suggests it is a type of axe. However the picture says "Ganesha holding a parashu in his lower right hand". Is it the beads/necklace thingy or the axe, which is not in his right hand, but actually appears in his upper left hand - not right. Confused. Please clarify. --Trippz 06:04, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
