Indiana assessment
This article is considered a Stub because it has no in-line citations to verify its content, it doesn't follow wikipedia external links guide. For futher information on editing articles see Maual of Style. The School song doesn't need to be listed word for word and can be mentioned in another section or infobox. School colors doesn't need its own section they can be listed in an infbox. Additionally how is Diana Lutterman-Schwark famous? Being a nurse at the Mayo Clinic of Jacksonville,FL is famous? Also this article needs pictures.

School Fight Songs

Just curious, but what is the rationale behind not allowing high school fight songs on their respective page? It is encyclopedic, and the same rules would also apply to college fight songs similarly.

@Invinciblewalnut: - Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools has created guidelines for school articles which are based on the input and consensus of a number of editors. As you can see here, these guidelines suggest not including "the lyrics of the school song (or school anthem)" in articles about schools (colleges have their own guidelines). Without guidelines, Wikipedia would become an indiscriminate collection of information. Exceptions to guidelines are frequently made--following a discussion and consensus here on the article's talk page--when there is something particularly notable requiring an exception (for example, if the lyrics to this school's song were used to create the official State song). Otherwise, a consensus of editors has agreed not to include school songs and so forth. I hope this answers your question. Magnolia677 (talk) 21:45, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Readdition of the history section

I would like approval from the COMMUNITY, not the one admin who stalks this page, to re-add the history section. History is important to any object or organization, and claiming that it is only "trivial" is ignorant. You answered your own question. This is an encyclopedia. Encyclopedias are tertiary sources. We only include information that is available from reliable, secondary sources, totally independent of the school. Further, this page is in no way for the school. Students and staff of the school do not have any special rights to edit this article. See WP:OWN. All content must be verifiable, but verifiability does not guarantee inclusion. Content is decided by CONSENSUS, which is established by reasoned arguments based on reliable sources and informed by Wikipedia's policies, guidelines and traditions. If someone removes content you've added, it is up to you as the editor wanting the change to establish a consensus on what if any of the disputed content to add. See WP:BRD. Obviously, copping an attitude is not going to help you do that. Anything you add anywhere on Wikipedia is subject to review, modifications or outright removal by any other editor. That's just the way this works, and you agreed to abide by that when you clicked the "save changes" button.
One of the most important policies here is Assume good faith. Do you think I removed the content to be a jerk or in some other way mess with you? No I removed it for exactly the reasons I stated. It's poorly sourced, the bit about the school colors is trivial in extreme and since you readded it without establishing a consensus after I removed it the first time, you were unambiguously edit warring (because that is exactly what edit warring is).
I'm not an administrator; administrators here do not decide content disputes. I'm another editor, just like you but with considerably more experience. I've been here almost 6 years and average about 10,000 edits a year, a large number to various US high school articles. You can either benefit from my experience and let me help you improve this article, or you can continue with the attitude you're showing now; in which case someone who actually is an administrator will be forced to use the tools the community entrusts them with to curtail or suspended your editing privileges. Keep in mind first hand knowledge of the article's subject is in no way necessary in order to successfully edit an article; in many cases it is a hindrance. If all you know of the subject comes from what you've read, there isn't any way to add stuff you just know, because you don't know anything.

I'm here to build the encyclopedia on subjects that I find interesting. The problem here is that the sources I used are the only ones currently available on the subject of which I am interested, that being the history of the school.
Again I am going to say I DID NOT edit war, since there was no consensus established on the topic, to begin with. I only added material to the article that is notable to the school's early history. From my viewpoint here, consensus is presently the act of one powerful user reverting others' changes without even attempting to modify the changes for the better, then stating good faith and some obscure WP rule.
I don't particularly care about the differences between users and admins. I dont't care how much of your time you've dedicated to High school articles. Threatening me and essentially calling me stupid isn't going to change that.
Let's agree to disagree and move on with both of our pitiful lives. Next time try to actually improve an article before reverting others' hard work. Invinciblewalnut (talk) 00:30, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
