Countess of Ruppin?

[edit]

Why was she countess of Ruppin? Was Ruppin a part of Norway or was she a ruler of Ruppin?--85.226.45.225 (talk) 15:30, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ruppin is a part of Germany. Euphemia was daughter of Wizlaw II of Rügen instead of Günther, Count of Arnstein-Ruppin. The claim of being daughter of Günther is based on an missunderstandable textpart in the chronicle by Detmar. In german biographies there is no mention of a kinship between Euphemia and Günther. Wizlaw II himself calls Euphemia an own daughter in his testament. (item domine rigine Norwegie filie mee). --Erell (talk) 07:09, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
