Date of Birth

[edit]

She was born in 1963, not in 1965, see here : http://www.lesgensducinema.com/affiche_acteur.php?mots=beart&nom_acteur=BEART%20Emmanuelle&ident=4064&debut=0&record=2&print=ok —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.83.48.70 (talk) 09:33, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thats not a great reference, it looks like some dodgy content farm! IMDB does have her as 1963, but they could have taken that from here. About half the references across the Web have her DOB as 1963 and half have 1965. Manon des Sources was released in 1986, if 1965 is the correct DOB she would have been 21, if 1963 then 23. Claude Berri did have some concerns that she was too old for the role. It seems slightly more likely that 63 is the right date (actresses rarely lie and make their age older) but we could do with some better evidence. Greek descent?

[edit]

Are there any sources to support the claim that Béart is of Greek descent? Her father's origins seems to have been Sephardic-Jewish from the Ottoman empire. The fact that the Ottoman city in which a Jewish family lived became a Greek city many years after the family had already moved to France does not give anyone a Greek ancestry. If the village my grandparents left would become Greek tomorrow, it would not make me any more Greek. If there really is a Greek ancestor, it is of course a different matter but if not the category about Greek descent should go.Jeppiz (talk) 20:39, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Category removed as no source for Greek descent has been mentioned. If one is presenteed, we can always put the category back. Jeppiz (talk) 18:29, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Photo

[edit]

Can we get a more flattering photo of her than this? She is considered one of the most beautiful women in the world and this photo simply does not do her justice. 98.209.116.7 (talk) 16:32, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Find a "better" photo that isn't a copyright violation and put it in then. --Muboshgu (talk) 16:33, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I hadn't seen that photo actually. You're right, it's a terrible picture. I put in an old one from an older version. --Muboshgu (talk) 16:35, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ermh. was she born in 1965 or 1963? i did a quick google and both sides seem pretty even... does anyone know how to verify for sure? even on a bit of wikipedia, she's listed as one of the 1963 people, etc. etc.
