I just happened to be researching the 1920s jazz clarinetist Bob Fuller in the US Census (came up blank) but because he played in trios with Elmer Snowden and i knew Snowden as a teen, i followed the link from Fuller's page to Sonwden's here at Wikipedia and saw that a bunch of information could be added to the Snowden page. So i added it -- his middle name, mom's name, brother's name, first couple of listings as a professional musican, and wiki-links back to the pages of Bob Fuller and Lou Hooper, his trio-mates. And just for the record, Elmer Snowden was a cool guy. -- catherine yronwode, not logged in. 70.36.137.177 (talk) 06:06, 13 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I did not write this article and I can't cite any references or sources, but I know it to be factual because I grew up in Berkeley, Calif. in the '60s and took banjo from Elmer Snowden for a few years. We spent many an afternoon in his flat in San Francisco talking about his history and the "old days." -- Mark Batterman
